International drivers are required by law to obtain a 30-Day Driver's Permit.  You can obtain a permit at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport Timehri, E.B.D, by requesting a Driver's Permit from the Officer in Charge of Customs upon arrival or go to the Inland Revenue Department - License Revenue Division, Smyth & Princess Streets, Georgetown (Telephone (592) 223-5501). Be sure to walk with your valid driver's license or an international driver's license.
